Founded in 1938, donors, families, schools, and community partners join together in collective trust to help Carver reach nearly 5,000 individuals each year through community, educational, enrichment and recreational programs, including service learning, parent leadership, summer camp, spring and fall national college tours, and a winning basketball league. In addition to its busy community center, our afterschool programs led by certified teachers and qualified volunteers, based within the Carver Center and Norwalk’s four middle and two high schools, reach 695 students with intense college–prep assistance.

Relationships. They are the only real currency in life. Our youth, parents, donors, volunteers and community partners find many ways to give to one another. We created this blog so that our in-house discussions, happenings, programming, appeals, special events, and other messages become ongoing creative dialogues with you. We seek to leverage the power of social media to involve you in reaching our key milestones. We seek here to close the feedback loop and create a new virtuous cycle that drives insights, innovation and influence for the benefit of our youth and community.
