Pepperidge Farm’s contribution to the Norwalk Community has been recognized by awards from the Human Services Council, the CT Food Bank, The Carver Foundation of Norwalk, and induction into the Chairman’s Circle of the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County.
Pepperidge Farm is the 2011 recipient of Carver’s annual Community Builder Award. For many years Pepperidge Farm employees have volunteered at the Carver Community Center and the company continues to be extremely generous both financially and in-kind to the advancement of the Carver mission.
Carver loves Pepperidge Farm! This year, as in years past Pepperidge Farm donates enough cookies and stuffing and rolls to round-out every Thanksgiving Basket to overflowing. Abundant thanks for all the joy and nutrition these gifts bring to Norwalk families on Thanksgiving Day and on the days that follow.
Each week during Carver’s Summer Camp the Connecticut Food Bank delivers fruits, vegetables and other sumptuous and nutritious food and drink to fill the special backpacks given to each of Carver’s 176 campers.
Four years ago, The Connecticut Food Bank, Pepperidge Farm, Inc., The Norwalk Children’s Foundation, GE and the United Way formed a partnership to address the need to keep the Food Bank’s school year backpack program going throughout the summer for Norwalk’s youth.
Thanks to Pepperidge Farm’s generous financial support, all of Carver’s kids are well fed throughout the summer.
